Privacy Policy
DONGKON SEO (Studio Lets) · 2026-10-25Studio Lets explains how Pocket Star handles information. Your ledger stays on your device.
Pocket Star has no age limit for ordinary use. New Plus purchases require age 16 or over. Minors need their legal guardian's consent before paid purchases. Existing records and purchases are preserved.
Who we are and how to contact us
Operator: Studio Lets. Privacy and support contact: sdgbojo@naver.com. You do not need to attach your journal or personal photos to a support request.
Information processed on your device
The app stores expense amounts, categories, dates and times, titles, notes, stamps, routines, monthly reflections, photo references, decorations and language, region and currency preferences on your device to provide its features. Your ledger is not sent to a developer-operated ledger server. No account or bank connection is required.
Photos and device authentication
On iPhone, the app saves a library reference for each photo you select. It does not keep a separate copy of the original or delete photos from your library. Image data is processed temporarily for display. iCloud photos may be downloaded through Apple services. iOS verifies Face ID, Touch ID or your device passcode; the app receives the authentication result, not your biometric data or passcode. You can record entries without granting photo access and change permissions in iPhone Settings.
Widgets, backups and sharing
The widget receives only remaining allowance, remaining time and stamp totals for the most recently selected weekly or monthly allowance period, on the same device. Others may see your widget; amounts can be hidden in Settings. Plus unlocks full backup and restore. ZIP exports are unencrypted and go to the destination you choose. They contain photo references, decorations and crop settings, not library originals; copies retained by older app versions may be included. Your selected storage service and iOS backups follow their providers’ policies and your settings.
Retention and deletion
Records remain on your device until you remove them. You can delete entries, delete all records in Settings, or remove the app. Device backups and exported files must be managed separately. Deleting an entry does not delete its original photo from your library. Restoring a backup replaces the current ledger rather than merging the two.
Support email and your rights
If you email us, we use your email address and the information you send to respond and resolve the issue. Where the GDPR applies, our legal basis is our legitimate interest in providing the support you requested. Elsewhere, processing follows the applicable local basis, with any required notice or consent provided separately. We delete the correspondence within 90 days of resolution unless retention is required by law or necessary for a dispute. Your email provider’s transmission and retention policies also apply. Contact us to exercise applicable rights of access, correction, deletion, restriction or objection. We cannot access or recover a ledger stored only on your device. Where applicable, you may complain to your local data protection authority.
International processing and changes
We do not send your ledger to a developer server. Apple services, support email and storage services you select may process information in other countries under their own policies. Contact sdgbojo@naver.com for rights requests about support correspondence. The browser preview stores records in your browser and holds photo previews only for the session. We will update this notice when services or data practices change.
Apple purchase information
Apple processes payments. The app uses StoreKit to check products and verified purchase entitlements. The developer does not receive your card number or Apple Account password. Entitlements are not included in ledger backups. Restore purchases uses the same Apple Account; refunded or revoked purchases may no longer unlock Plus.
Public information website
Our privacy, terms and support pages are served through Expo Hosting. To deliver and secure these pages, the hosting provider may process connection data such as your IP address, browser information and request time and path. We have not added advertising or analytics scripts or a ledger-upload feature to this website. The provider’s retention and international-processing practices are described at https://expo.dev/privacy . Connection-data retention is separate from retention of your journal records.
Age suitability and children's inquiries
Pocket Star has no age limit for ordinary use. New Plus purchases require age 16 or over. We do not require an account, date of birth or identity documents. Ledger and photo references are processed on device. If we learn that a direct inquiry is from a person under 16, we promptly delete unnecessary personal data and attachments and, if needed, provide a single guidance reply, promptly delete the contact information and direct further inquiries to a guardian. The general 90-day support retention period does not apply to these inquiries. Before repeated support or additional child data processing, we must establish a separate lawful basis and any required guardian procedure. Guardians should not send a child's ledger or photos. An in-app confirmation does not replace legally required consent verification.
Age check before purchase
1.0.2 · Age checks run only for new Plus purchases. Launching the app, ordinary use and restoring purchases do not require an age check. If a check fails or takes too long, cancel and keep using your journal. On supported iOS versions, Apple age bands and regional requirements are checked on device. Age bands stay in memory; we do not receive birth dates or identity documents. Update approval states, requests and a hash of the Apple app transaction identifier stay on device to separate approvals by account; they are not sent to the developer. The local 16+ self-declaration where additional assurance is not required is not verified age. Deleting the app removes this device state; device backups may retain it. Existing records and purchase rights are preserved.
