Pocket Star has no age limit for ordinary use. New Plus purchases require age 16 or over. Minors need their legal guardian's consent before paid purchases. Existing records and purchases are preserved.
Adult or guardian review
An adult user or legal guardian should contact support from their own email. Send only the app version, device model and steps to reproduce the issue. Do not send a child's name, email, photos, ledger, passwords or identity documents.
Language, region and ledger currency
Choose language and region separately in Settings. A new ledger starts with your device region’s currency. When region is automatic, the first explicit language choice suggests a matching currency; an explicitly chosen region takes priority. A currency you chose manually is retained. You can change currency before saving expenses or budgets; afterwards it stays fixed to avoid relabelling amounts. No exchange conversion takes place. Month and weekday names follow the app language; number and currency formats follow region. Calendars or pickers supplied by iOS may follow the device language. If only allowance settings remain, open Settings → Set allowance and use Reset allowance below the pencil. It clears all weekly, monthly and historical allowance settings. Expenses, saved money snapshots and expense templates still prevent currency changes.
Entering decimals
KRW, JPY and VND use whole units. For currencies with decimals, the 00 key on the 3×4 keypad becomes your region’s decimal separator. For example, enter USD 12.50 in the US region or EUR 12,50 in the German region.
If a photo is missing
Check photo access and iCloud connectivity, then reconnect the photo from the entry. Saved decorations and frames stay in place when you reconnect. The app cannot recover an original deleted from your photo library.
Saving, backup and changing devices
After saving, choose View my feed to check the entry. Failed saves retain your draft. Full backup and restore remain disabled for free users. Plus enables ZIP export and restore. Confirming a restore erases the current ledger and replaces it with the backup, rather than adding duplicate records. If the ledger changes after selecting a backup, select the file again. Photo links may need reconnecting on another device; decorations and crop settings remain in the backup.
Screen lock and offline use
Entry opens immediately. With screen lock enabled, other tabs require device authentication once per app session. Recording and analysis work offline. iCloud photo downloads, purchases, purchase restoration and support email may require a connection.
Reporting an issue
Include your app version, iPhone model and iOS version, selected language, region and currency, and steps to reproduce the issue. Do not send passwords, verification codes, a complete ledger or personal photos. Redact private details from any screenshot you choose to send.
Widget and purchase troubleshooting
In Settings → Widget, choose Reconnect widget to send the latest allowance, time and stamp totals. iOS may take a moment to refresh. Tapping the widget opens Entry. Restore purchases and restoring a ledger backup are different operations. A product-unavailable message means the App Store product has not yet been registered or cannot currently be reached.
